Can a European computer game work on US computers?

I was hoping to buy Dragon Age for my computer, but the one I'm interested in is the European version. So, I was wondering a few things:





1) Will the game itself work on my PC?


2) Will the mods created for the game still be able to be used?





Thanks in advance!|||As far as I know, yes. My friend gets some of his JRPGs imported from Japan, I have gotten he European version of Oblivion and it worked fine, it may be game specific though.
