Is it okay to mod video games?

I know that other people have done it, but is it legal? Is it okay to get mods, and how can you get them?Here are the list of games I want to mod:





Fallout 3


Fallout: New Vegas


Dragon Age: Origins


Dragon Age 2


Mass Effect


Mass Effect 2

And if you can, give me the websites for the mods for these games, IF it is okay.|||I don't know if it's illegal but I know many people do it. You need a JTAGED xbox360 if you want to mod those games. I don't know how to mod the PS3.|||If its not a $%%26amp;#ing cheat its cool. Just somethin 2 increase the gaming experience:)|||Mods are just fine, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Its the hacking that is just wrong. What's the difference? Mods are usually just little things, custom huds, different textures, some stuff that is independent of certain games (like Fallout making Vendors have a lot of caps so they can buy more stuff from you without you having to find a different vendor or waiting 3 days, or something like that) Usually harmless. ON PC. Consoles usually aren't supposed to be messed with, you might get in trouble with Psn or Xbox live.|||no it means that the person modding has no self esteem and has too win no matter what, it can lead to problems if you do it to much so better not to do it at all like drugs|||No. It's not illegal but your console will probably get banned if you connect to PSN/XBL. You won't be able to play online or get updates.|||Only PC games I think that they are ok. But not the console based games.
